I went to the college to study on Tuesday for my clm exam. After a while, me and my friends decided to grab a bite at the canteen.. As exams had not started yet, so there are quite few students in the canteen as most of them are still in the library. We only took our wallets with us as we are studying in the study room, which is direct upstairs of the canteen.

After eating, we went to the toilet. After coming out, i discovered that i had forgotten to take my wallet and left it on the bench where we were eating jz now. So, we went back and take it. But we couldn't find it anywhere near the table. There were a few students who are sitting beside our table. They saw a canteen cleaner took my wallet and thought that she had given it to the counter and ask me to go over and ask. We went to the counter but the lady there said that no cleaner had given the wallet to them. The students ask us to go and ask the cleaner about it. He described how the cleaner look like and told us that she had gone into the kitchen. He said that she took my wallet and put it inside the pail where she puts all the dirty dishes.

The cleaner denied the claim when we ask her about it. We then proceed to tell the lady at the counter about it and she said we could go inside to search for the wallet. We found nothing there and did not know where the cleaner had hidden my wallet. The lady at the counter then told us that the cleaners would take the wallet to the counter if they found one. They did not believe our words and chose to believe their workers. In the end, we had no choice but to go to the police station to report about my missing wallet.

The students affair departments already closed when we want to make a report of the missing student id as i had to use it in order to enter into the exam venue. The very next day, the students affair department manager called my house to tell my dad that they had found my wallet and ask me to collect it. When i reach there, the manager told me that a student saw a cleaner throw my wallet into the male's toilet near the canteen. He only saw the back of her so he could not be sure which cleaner is it. He told the manager that she is a bit plump. The manager told me that just now he went to the canteen and pretend to read the newspaper to see the situation.. He said that the two cleaner keep on looking at his direction as if they were afraid of something.

He then told me that he would look into the matter as there were already a few cases similar to mine and they thought that it was the students who did it. But after my incident they can be sure that it is the cleaner who did that.

After all, i am glad that i got my wallet back and only the money is missing.. If not, it will be very troublesome as i have to redo my student id card, IC and my driving license. It would cost me more than the money inside my wallet.. I just hope that there will be no more cases like this and the cleaners who did this can be caught.
